University students frequently struggle to find compatible study partners, tutoring peers, or project group members with matching course loads, study styles, and schedules. Traditional communication methods lack academic-specific filtering and fail to enforce robust data privacy boundaries, exposing students' sensitive contact details to unauthorized access.
The Engineering Solution
I designed and developed the core application features using Next.js 16 and NestJS, leveraging Supabase and PostgreSQL Row-Level Security (RLS) policies to secure data. I implemented an intelligent landing page featuring dynamic Call-to-Action (CTA) routing based on user state, a persistent 6-step onboarding form with LocalStorage recovery, a custom student profile card component, a curated directory of co-working study spaces with facility filters, and a WebSocket-driven real-time chat client supporting pinned messages, edits, reactions, and read receipts.
